ここって、一度IDを作った場所なんだけど、使い難くて、結局放棄した。。。YAHOOで改めてIDを作ったのに。。。。が、最後の最後にYAHOOから追い出されて、仕方がなく、戻ってきた(泣)。。。でも、やはり使い慣れないわ~~~(大泣)

Sky On 57 is located at the southern end of the sands skypark,at tower 1 of the Marina Bay Sands Hotel. And opened last December(Maybe). When a new restaurant has only just opened,you may encounter bad service from their half-baked service system,but...............it's been almost a year, I do believe that.....A place for everything and everything in its place.  ''Yeah'' my deduction was correct! We really had a good time with their well-trained staffs on that day.

Sky On 57 is helmed by a well-known chef who is the founder of Les Amis.'' Justin Quek( 郭文秀)''  and used to be appointed the personal chef to the French Embassy. After operating some successful restaurants in some countries(including Taipei). He returned back to Singapore to open''Sky On 57'' at Marina Bay Sands Hotel this time.

Sky On 57 focuses on newly modern Asian cuisine,which is mixed South East Asian with European cuisine. It's really funny. You can have xiao long bao here~~~~~~even to the Macaron also. What a wide range!

We flipped through the menu,and finally decided to try the 4 course business luncheon($60++) for our first time. Of course!! I ordered the signature Foie Gras Xiao Long Bao(add $6) as my starter. Well......it wasn't too amazing,but I love the way it seasoned. The Foie Gras is very good proportion with pork mince. Not too gamy!! GOOD!

Overall,here is worth a try. Especially,we love the dessert here. Pandan Macaron was very impressive. After having a hearty meal,eat the special dessert with a cup of coffee WITH enticing view. There are plenty of warrants for next visit.

Our cold is definitely on the mend,just wanted to regain consumed energy. We decided to have our favourite '' Peking Duck''

Imperial Treasure doesn't sell a half duck for diners,that's why we didn't have chance to come only two of us. でも、今日は食べるぞ~~~Bon Appetit!

Here is in my must-go pocket list! After hearing their duck is made by roasting with lychee trees wood,giving it a distinctively fruity flavour!!

There is no doubt about the quality of duck. According to the instruction,we had the 4 pieces of crispy skin which is around the neck part,ate with sugar. It was really tasty!! OUT OF THIS WORLD

Duck meat is also served. Wrapping the meat & spring onions & cucumber all in a thin crepe. 美味しすぎるわ~~~~~~~~~~~~

 

There are still some meat attached to the bone,that you can ask to make with fried rice of noodle.

 

大満足!!幸せだよ~~~~

三盅両件(soup restaurant) (HP)

We were fighting a cold & didn't have a good appetite.But,had a craving for a bowl of soup.

 

Funnily enough,soup restaurant's signature dish is ''samsui chicken'',not soup. ''the ginger sauce''here is our favourite,genger sauce is good for our cold as well.....

 

''Samsui ginger chicken'' is a bit similar to chicken rice,but ....of course!!it's without rice. Take a piece of chicken,a bit of ginger sauce,and then wrap it all in a lettuce leaf. Goodness me!! I felt euphoric~~~~~~~

 

You can get canned ginger sauce here. I usually get it as ''Singapore souvenir'' to my JP relatives.

BUKO NERO ← (reviews)

BUKO NERO is a small restaurant,it only has six or seven tables,run by husband & wife ONLY. That's why the service here probable is not so prompt. But....here is certainly worth a long wait.

BUKO NERO is beloved by a lot of Italian foodies,so don't even think to come here without booking in advance. Probable,you need to make a reservation at least a month in advance. Wow!!!

When my friend informed me of availability,I was delighted at this good news.

All of us had lunch set which is 28+,and ordered the a la carte drinks,in total paied the bill of $37 per person. Personally,I think the price here is pretty reasonable! Marvelous!!

In my view,why people have a bias in favour of BUKO NERO! Yeah.......maybe some of Italian restaurants tend to be a fusion of French & some newly creative cuisine. I think BUKO NERO keeps a basic savor with Italian food,it tastes so unpretentious,simple.

It just proves that ''simple is the best''. It's simple,but gives impressiveness to all diners.

I had lunch with my friend before,and came back with my hubby this time!

To my surprise,we were ushered to their main dining hall,and it was window seat!(LUCKY!) Originally,all the diners who book through Singapore Restaurant Week should had a seat over bar area,I'd known it before I made a reservation.

Salt Grill is located on the 55th floor of ION. I think here is the highest restaurant around the Orchard Road. Diners can enjoy the meal with Orchard skyline.

My hubby asked my about what cuisine belongs to Salt Grill!!! Well,it's Australian cuisine! you can see all the plates,glasses,menu and seasoning cans bore the name of Luke Mangan.

From my googled information...........Luke Mangan is a celebrity chef in Australia. He operates Hilton Hotel's glass brasserie in Sydney,and he's got restaurants in Melbourne,Tokyo JP. Wow~~~ you should come once at least. ''BE IT AN EXPERIENCE''!!!

Novus Restaurant & Bar ← (HP)

Since I'd come back from my holiday in JP. I was on my last leg,so exhausted. I did't have any idea to take park in Singapore's Restaurant Week this time. One day,suddenly a idea came to my mind and tried to look up any availability at my ideal restaurants. Crikey! Crikey! Crikey! that was too late!


Most of them were fully booked. But..................sitll got two bookings with two restaurants. They are Novus Restaurant & Bar(dinner) and Salt Grill & Sky Bar(lunch)

I'd been waiting for a chance to try here! But,honestly...............I couldn't classify it as French or Italian cuisine Well,.........In terms of service,I am content with everything! So, I'm not making critical comments with the food here! (all of them look tasty,but....they were not)       Just want to say........I wasn't very impressed by their food at all.

We were given complimentary cupcake & affixed a thank you note inside. I do really appreciate such thoughtful gesture,feel so warm.

Yhingthai Palace(HP)

I had lunch with my friends. Why we decided to make our first visit to here!   According to its highly recommendation of stuffed chicken wings,we couldn't resist the temptation to go soon.

 

Chicken wings were chock-full with asparagus & mushroom,crispy on the outside and jucy,tender in the inside. This dish has a very good combination of tastes & textures. BRAVO!!

 

I'll definitely come back with my hubby soon.

It's been awhile since we last had dinner here.

I shall never forget having my engagement ring at this restaurant. Time flies~~~ We've celebrated our sweet ten not long ago!!

We still love the ambience here,quiet and a little bit dim Of course!! We still pay a well-deserved compliment to their staffs. They are really attentive but not too intrusive.

All the dishes which we ordered.....were just fabulous The steaks were grilled to a nice medium rare as we had requested. We polished off it,although we'd had a big portion of salad for appetizer & a bowl of soup.(terribly flesh-eating couple)  HA! HA! HA!

Bistro du vin(HP)

I had lunch with my friends after our class. It was my first time I'd tried here. But......I was so disappointed with everything here. Sorry! I won't patronize any more ,although the lunch set is pretty reasonable.

I was really shocked by their poor quality of service. I knew that Bristro DU VIN is a part of Les Amis group,but compare with other restaurants that belongs to Les Amis. I think they should have done better. All the staffs are courteous,but not considerate towards diners.

They did't remember all the orders for each individul diner. (Two of us ordered two braising dishes......my one was pork & my friend's one was duck)When our main course was delivered in front us......we did't think too much and had it right away. I nibbled my braised pork once,twice.....realized something was wrong. It wasn't pork,it tasted of chicken........... We finally knew the answer.......it was duck. and my friend's one was pork!!!! two of them are brasing dishes so,the colour were the same.

OH!!!!!! Come on!!!!! Don't ask diners to distinguish their order by themselves!(`_´)ゞOK!!!!

Equinox(HP)

 

Usually, a restaurant with a good view doesn't serve great food.....So,I didn't expect too much of Equinox. Just Feed at Raffes card provides 50% discount of tatal bill. "Why not?" We would try anything once!

But,......... The foods here were surprisingly ..........not bad. And I love the atmospheric interior here. Also,all the seats are considerately designed to all the diners,it gives the stunning view over the Singapore skyline. Absolutely magnificent!!

There is a foies gras station that provides free flow of FOIE GRAS. It drove me bananas.... I had 4 pieces...

We went here in a quiet evening.(I spposed everyone was enjoying F1 GP at that time

Usually,it's not easy to get a table over the weekend. But,there were plenty of tables available for that day! Alfresco seats are available,but...........not for us!

I love the ambience here,it's full of rustic charm&cozy,relaxing.  something different from PS cafe where I love,too. 

Of course,we ordered the original spruce burger to share,that comes with French fries. I think their signature burger was definitely good enough to satisfy my burger craving,and it is very good value at $19++(with bacon).   The patty was roughly chopped ,so still had some texture,but.........it was too salty and I couldn't taste a good savor of beef. Compared with PS burger.......PS WON HANDS DOWN

But, PS burger is more expensive than Spurce's one...... ($25 or $28++)

Allinall,we had an enjoyable dinner here. The pasta&soup were quite tasty. Especially I LOVE tomato soup there. Indeed,I can only go back for "Tomato soup".

Au Petit Salut (HP)

 

I was hoping to try this restaurant,because of its excellent reputation.

I'd heard it wasn't easy to get a table at lunch hour,so I booked one week ago. Surprisingly,it was packed with Western housewives.

 

Overall,the food here is above average. Especially for the set lunch is very good value at 35++. But just a personal opinion........I think they'd better increase the number of staffs. Their service wasn't bad and snooty,that's why I could forgive them for what they had done to me. Although I asked 3 times for having our dessert delivered. We'd still waited for more than an half hour. During the lunch time,I think the ambience here is nothing different from Marche at 313.

Astons Prime (HP)

 

We were too starving on that day,and didn't have plan to try some restaurants where we've never been.

 

It's simply that we just passed by there and decided to try out the food at this restaurant.

 

To be honest,I found the steak there is good value for the quality which they provid. I ordered the Tajima Wagyu that is grade 8 level. It was not bad,but I asked my steak had done medium rare. When it was served,it seemed overcooked. But,still very tender and juicy. I think the price they charged is really reasonable,so it was nothing I can be picky.
